Janet Quarles, 65, of Star City, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025.

Janet was born August 31, 1960, in Pine Bluff, AR, daughter of Phillip and Margaret Ray Smith.

She was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School, class of 1979. She received her associate's degree in paralegal from SEARK college in 2004.

Janet married the love of her life, the late Gerald Wayne Quarles, on August 14, 2010. Mrs. Quarles was a faithful member of Cross Roads Christian Fellowship Church.

Along with her mom, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Wayne Quarles.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ray (Dewayne), Amber "A.J." Fox (Talen); two grandchildren, Dalton Ray (Skyler), Donnie Ray; father and step-mother, Phillip and Betty Smith; and siblings, Michael Smith, Phyllis Gereaux, Tammy Woods, Suzanne Kirkpatrick, David Smith, Gwen Hooper, Jenny Pruitt and Danny Callahan.

A memorial service may be held at a later date.
