Frantz
Kientz
Mar 25, 1952 — Oct 31, 2024
Frantz Edwin Kientz, 72, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away on October 31st, 2024. He was born to Leland M. Kientz, Jr. and Beulah "Boots" Dean Kientz on March 25th, 1952, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He had one sister, Sheila Nelson Kientz Pitt.
Frantz was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his two sons Drew and Nathaniel, three grandchildren, his sister Sheila and her family, as well as an extended family and dear friends.
Upon graduating from Pine Bluff High School, Frantz immediately entered the workforce. He quickly established what a lifelong hard worker he would be and became a fixture of the town of Pine Bluff for the greater part of all his days. He had an extensive resume', with stops along the way at various companies, including the St. Louis Southwestern Railway Company (aka the "Cotton Belt") and Tandy Corporation (later RadioShack). A high achiever, Frantz always rose to the top and won performance awards wherever he worked.
Over time, Frantz would find that he always gravitated towards running his own business. For over 20 years until his death, his AAA Mobile Home Supply store provided products and services to the greater southeastern Arkansas area. His business associates and customers always remarked how friendly and outgoing he was, as well as how reliably knowledgeable he was with all things regarding the industry. If he did not know, he would find out for you.
Frantz had a need for speed. He absolutely loved racing in all its forms. NHRA Top Fuel drag racing, NASCAR, F1 ("Indy cars"), drag boat racing - if it had a highly tuned and loud engine, then he was all about it. This love of combustion engines also translated to jet aircraft and flight itself. He won numerous professional drag races on his super gas racing motorcycle, as well as other categories.
As with all of his hobbies and interests, it was not enough to simply participate in a thing. He possessed a keen analytical intellect. He always sought to become a networked expert/specialist and a "go to" mind that could provide advice and mentorship. He could fix and upgrade a car or truck, wire a house, install appliances and fixtures (as well as perform maintenance on them), and safely handload ammunition, to go with numerous other skills he could perform at a professional level.
A real "Renaissance Man," Frantz was also an avid enjoyer of music (the louder the better), barbequing and smoking delicious meats to perfection, military history, movies (action and sci-fi), along with photography and fireworks. He was a busybody who always had at least three or four projects he was working on at any given time.
His personality was 1 of 1. He is sorely missed.
The family will be having a small memorial gathering at his residence in Pine Bluff. Please text 972-523-4300 for details.
